Most of the World Cup's group-stage matches are daytime — perfect for families. We pick three matches over a long weekend (Friday afternoon, Saturday afternoon, Sunday afternoon) at the closest host city to a family-friendly resort. For the US, that usually means the Four Seasons Orlando or the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove in Miami — both with kids' programmes that run all day if you want them.
Match-day works like this: Suburban picks you up after lunch, you're at the stadium in time for kickoff, you're back at the hotel before bedtime. Cat-1 Premium seats but kid-conscious — close enough to feel the atmosphere, not so close that the noise overwhelms a six-year-old. We can pre-arrange face paint, mini jerseys, and a pre-match meet with the team mascot if you give us a week's notice.
Off-match days are yours. Pool, beach, the spa for the parents. We've held a private boat charter for one of the days, a family-friendly dinner at Joe's Stone Crab on the other, and a slow brunch at the resort for the third morning. The parents do nothing operational. The kids see the World Cup. Everyone sleeps well.
